PROCESS

1

Step 1: Consultation

The client’s brief is always our starting point. Together we will explore the style you’re looking for, matters of practicality and preferred options for materials, fixtures and fittings. Once we are sure we have fully captured your requirements, our aim is always to achieve the best design possible in response to your brief.

2

Step 2: Design

The first step will be to present several alternative solutions according to your aesthetic expectations and your pre-determined budget. Joint analysis of the proposed solutions will ultimately select your ideal project. On agreement and confirmation of design stage, we will prepare full CAD drawings (plan, elevations and 3d visual of your kitchen). At this point the design fee £500 will be due, this will be credited to your account when you place an order, but is non-refundable should you decide not to proceed. The design fee must be settled before any drawings can be released or amended and site visits arranged.

3

Step 3: Contract

We will discuss in details all drawings / specifications and make any amendments necessary to improve the design. We are perfectionists – we will make fine adjustments until you are completely satisfied – no matter how long it will take. It’s your kitchen – You must be 100% satisfied with the design to enable us to proceed.

Once any design changes have been agreed our design team prepare final, full set of CAD drawings, visuals and specification for the client’s final sign off. We would also provide a set of service drawings for any construction partners.

To confirm an order for your kitchen, we require a signed contract and the deposit payment of 50%. The full remaining balance will be due for payment ten working days prior delivery and installation on site.

4

Step 4: Production

The time taken between placing an order and installation is typically between eight to sixteen weeks.

5

Step 5: Installation

Usually the fitting stage takes between two to four weeks, depending on the complexity of the project. We work to a fitting schedule that ensures as little disruption as possible whether we are at a client’s home or working alongside other construction professionals. During installation, the design team are on hand to ensure the fitting of the project is running smoothly right up until final sign-off. Once complete, we conduct a final inspection to ensure complete satisfaction.

6

We’re so confident of the enduring quality of what we produce, we give a 10-year guarantee on all Mia Urbo Design furniture (excluding normal wear and tear and accidental damage). Any parts, materials and equipment not manufactured by us will carry that manufacturer’s warranty.

We are confident that the standards we have set ourselves are incredibly high.
